WIN centres
Information point for Migrant Workers in Maasbree and Panningen (WIN):
The WIN centre in Maasbree is open on Mondays from 4.00 pm to 6.00 pm. The WIN centre in Panningen is open on Thursdays from 10.00 am to 12.00 pm.
There are also WIN centres in Horst, Venlo and Venray. Migrant workers from the municipality of Peel en Maas can also go there. The support provided by these WIN points is free of charge. You can also contact WIN Noord-Limburg by email win@venray.nl or by telephone on 088 004 6339.
Wegwijzer
For advice, information and support, you can use the Wegwijzer. You can ask questions here about subjects like money, health, housing, work or family. The Wegwijzer is available in Dutch, English and German. You can drop by, ring us or send an email during consultation hours.

Baarlo Newcomers Group
Do you live in Baarlo? In that case, the Baarlo Newcomers’ Group can help you settle in more quickly. Together, you’ll work out what you need to get involved in village life. There are various activities, such as cooking, walking, learning to ride a bike and a neighbourhood day. This is how you meet new people, such as neighbours, other newcomers and members of local organisations. Learning Dutch
Would you like to improve your Dutch speaking, reading or writing skills? Or do you need help using a computer, apps or websites? At Taalpunt Peel en Maas, they’ll work with you to find out what support suits you best. Volunteers can help you either individually or in small groups. You can visit the Wegwijzer at the Huis van de Gemeente, Wilhelminaplein 1 in Panningen, every working day from 8.30 am to 12 noon. Contribution towards language lessons
The municipality of Peel en Maas can help with the costs of Dutch language lessons. You can apply for a grant if you are aged 18 or over, live in the municipality of Peel en Maas and are in employment.
Before you apply for a grant, the local authority will need a few documents. This enables the local authority to check whether the course and the costs are covered. You will need:
- A quote from the language school for the course you wish to take.
- Proof that you are enrolled at the language school.

Activities in the municipality
There are clubs and societies you can join in all the villages in the municipality of Peel en Maas. For example, a football club, a tennis club or a music society. Ask around in your village or get in touch with the charity Vorkmeer. They can help you get started.

Polish church services
Polish church services are held regularly in Panningen. These services are intended for Polish residents and migrant workers who would like to attend Mass in their own language.
The Polish church service is held on the first and third Saturdays of every month at 6.00 pm at the church at Kerkstraat 8, 5981 CG, Panningen. Everyone is very welcome.
