The landscape in Peel en Maas is highly varied. As it is situated between the Peel and the Meuse, there is plenty of water and nature. Walkers, cyclists, horse riders and people with small boats on the Maas can enjoy the open space here. Every year, large numbers of tourists visit the municipality.
Peel en Maas is home to many farms. This municipality produces more asparagus than anywhere else in the Netherlands. There are also many greenhouse horticulture businesses. Peel en Maas also has a strong manufacturing sector and local SMEs.
Many migrant workers have traditionally lived and worked in the municipality of Peel en Maas. We believe it is important that they are properly housed and feel welcome in the local community. We warmly invite you to take part in activities organised by clubs and to attend events.
